RAW ALKALIZING FOODS
The premise of eating primarily raw is based upon the fact that once we cook our food, we kill the vast majority of enzymes and nutrients which our body needs for proper assimilation and nourishment. Through a diet based solely on (vegan) raw foods, the body will begin an internal cleansing which will eventually rid the body of embedded toxic matter within each cell while sustaining the cells with vital nutrition. We aim to balance the fluid levels within each cell and outside the cell: this is the definition of homeostasis. One does not have to remain on the raw food diet for their life’s entirety, but they should aim to eat about 80% raw alkalizing foods to 20% acid forming foods. It is a fact that dis-ease cannot manifest in a body that is consistently at a pH level of 7.365.We offer hands on workshops to learn how to prepare delicious raw foods: A plethora of incredible salads, nut milks, almond breads, desserts, and every type of ethnic food out there. It is all about being creative in the kitchen! You will learn how to properly combine foods for better digestion. You will learn which foods have the most protein, iron and calcium to ensure you are receiving proper nutrition while on a vegan based, alkalizing raw food diet. You do not have to worry, a vegan based diet has as much protein as a meat based diet without causing autointoxication. There is no need to go “cold turkey”; we can implement the lifestyle into your current diet. You will need to take a ledger of everything you eat in a regular day for 1-2 weeks. When you turn it in we will create a meal plan specifically for you. We suggest that you implement the raw food diet for one month, slowly adding more and more vital foods to your meal plan until you can maintain a more balanced, nutrient rich lifestyle.
